Annwyl Oll!
There's been so many oriel residencies for Utopias Bach, exciting times...
I have been reflecting on something i'd like to invite for a collaboratory discussion...it stems from my drive from being one of the original 4 that birthed the seed of Utopias Bach, and the role I opted to focus on which was "inclusivity". I see how Utopias Bach has been growing and expanding as a collective that has sprouted out many strawberry plantlets from the mother plant, and its juicy fruits are enjoyed by many all over.
It has inspired my curiosity on a few things....
🌿 How are we keeping the original Utopias Bach ethos alive whilst it is expanding out i.e. would we feel comfortable with something running under the Umbrella of Utopias Bach and it not having the same values? Does it matter?
🌿 How can we be actively include voices/perspectives that are not the majority? Maybe even unpopular? Is it important that we do?
🌿 Is there anything we feel is not being included / doesn't appear to be present that we would love to see as part of the Utopias Bach collective
🌿 With the now devolved core team that used to maintain a culture, how is the culture maintained? Does it matter?
🌿 If the evolution of growth is the focus, maybe nothing of the original intention is relevant?
I would like to include an idea for an experiment at the end of the collaboratory. I'm leaving this for the end as the conversations may well shape more of what that is!
Looking forward to seeing you there if you can make it, and you're interested in exploring these themes....
