Mae Elinor Gwynn wedi anfon gwahoddiad ‘ma i bobl Utopias Bach - Elinor Gwynn has sent this invitation to Utopias Bach:
Our first ever Geopoetics Day in North Wales will take place at Betws y Coed in Snowdonia on Saturday 10 September starting at 11 am. Poems will be read outdoors and there will be walks round some of the lead mines in the expert company of Marika Gates, geologist and project manager of the Welsh Metal Mines Programme.
Our Assistant Director Pat Corbett is coming all the way from Edinburgh to the event and if poems, prose and artwork are produced as a result of being inspired by the Day, they could appear in a future edition of our online journal Stravaig. Please bring along some poems to read at this free event. You don’t have to be a member to attend, so please let your friends know that all are welcome. Register at https://bit.ly/GeoWales which has more details about the Day or reply to Marcelle Newbold.
Meet at Betws y Coed at 11am at Station Road car park, have tea and cake or early lunch, and share poems, then car share to Hafna Lead Mine at 12.30 pm for a walk round the trail through lead mine ruins. Then on to Llyn Sarnau to look round Llanwrst Mine and Cyffty Mine and return to Betws y Coed. There are rail and bus connections to Betws y Coed. Please note there are no toilet or food facilities available at any locations except Betws y Coed.
Please come and join us. Book your place at Eventbrite Wales Geopoetics Day or by emailing Marcelle Newbold. All welcome.
