Ysgol Arbrofol Dod at Ein Coed: Tree Sense Experimental School

Newyddion cyffroes! 125 people have registered for our Experimental School, some taking part at home, some online and some at Pontio in Bangor. About two thirds of our school are new to Utopias Bach, and we have gone international, reaching as far as Portugal, Germany, California and Japan!

We have not only been learning about how we can ‘come back to our trees’ but also about how to run hybrid events (zoom and at Pontio) and how to work with an established arts venue. All guided, of course, by the wisdom of the trees and mycelium.

Take a look at what we have been up to on our “composting” page!

And please, come and join us as we build up to our ‘finale’ in May!

What’s next? Come and join us!

Highlights include:

Crone Cast and the Ancients - Tuesday 18th April and Saturday 22nd April come and accompany us in our investigation into becoming ancient tree and crone, and to join in our protest against the neglect and destruction of ancient trees. We will start with an introduction to the genesis of Crone Cast, begin costume making, and thinking and conversations about performing crone and ancient tree. Expand and treasure your imagination.

Justice + Merched y Tir - Wednesday 3rd May: come and create a Siarter y Coed/Charter of the Trees by re-imagining and re-awakening the legal frameworks we have, in partnership with GwyrddNi and the LORE School

Forest comes to Pontio - Saturday 27th May: the grand finale, bringing together everything we have made and discovered with performance, leaf blowers and music!

And LOTS more including Tree Poetry, Art Kiosk Night and Collaboratories - see our events

If you register with the Experimental School we will automatically send you invitations and details, so you won’t miss out on anything!

It will comprise a series of five events, spending creative time with the natural world, experiencing three journey packages received through your letterbox.
